Jenny Del Fuego is a Filipino-American artist whose work spans installation, performance and collage. She hops and blends genres to explore themes of identity, resilience and the environment. Jenny’s work is life-responsive, created through a lens of reverent curiosity. The Chicago native draws inspiration from ancient cultures, poetry and travel. She attempts to find ways to move with what is ineffable, what is sensed.
Del Fuego has worked locally and internationally as an artist and educator. A Fine Arts graduate of IU Bloomington, commissioned by Herron Galleries and Tube Factory, she has shown work and performed at universities, galleries, and public institutions. Recent awards include a Process/Progress Fellowship, a wellness grant from Indy Arts Council and a residency on Michigan’s Harbor Coast. Her paintings and photographs are held in collections across five continents.
